Education and Career Readiness (Including Capacity Building)

Campaign Focus:

• Expanding access to higher education through mentoring, college preparation workshops, and scholarship programs tailored to youth of color and immigrant backgrounds.

• Career readiness training, including internships, resume-building workshops, and public speaking opportunities to prepare youth for the workforce.

• Advocacy for equitable education systems that address disparities and promote culturally relevant learning for all youth.

Capacity Building Element:

• Training for mentors on effective career counseling and college readiness support.

• Strengthening the organizational capacity to provide comprehensive career pathways by partnering with local businesses, educational institutions, and policymakers.

• Supporting staff and mentors with ongoing professional development in areas such as civic engagement, leadership, and cultural competency.
