As the founder of this organization, I am deeply committed to empowering youth, especially young people of color, to become proactive leaders in their communities. Our mission is to provide a safe platform where they can learn, grow, and thrive through education, mentorship, and advocacy. Every day, we work to create a more inclusive, equitable, and supportive environment where our youth are equipped to face the challenges of today and build the future they deserve. Fiona Okech
Youth Director
Fiona Okech, a university senior pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, is a dedicated contributor to AYDEPI's programming and serves as a peer mentor. In her role as Youth Director, she focuses on empowering and guiding youth through leadership and community engagement initiatives. Fiona plays a key role in planning and executing youth-centered programs, ensuring they offer meaningful opportunities for growth and development.
Management Consultant
Buthaina, a holder of a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, is currently working as a management consultant, where she applies her analytical and strategic skills to drive impactful outcomes. She is actively supporting AYDEPI in various capacities, including comprehensive planning, innovative programming, effective fundraising, and offering invaluable advice to the management on strategic issues and program progress. Her expertise also extends to strengthening organizational frameworks, enhancing program efficiency, and ensuring long-term sustainability.
Office Administrator
Ashley is a university senior pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Science, with a strong passion for health, fitness, and community well-being. She is a dedicated contributor to AYDEPI's administration and programming efforts, playing a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of organizational initiatives. Ashley also serves as a peer mentor, where she provides guidance and support to younger participants, fostering personal growth and leadership development.

Mr. Bekmay Kayembe serves as a dedicated Community Liaison and the current Board Chairman for AYDEPI. Bringing a wealth of legal expertise to the table, he has been instrumental in guiding the organization’s strategic initiatives and ensuring compliance with legal standards. Over the past two years, Mr. Kayembe has been a steadfast supporter of AYDEPI, contributing to its mission of empowering youth and fostering community-driven change. His leadership has strengthened partnerships, enhanced program impact, and provided invaluable mentorship to team members and participants alike.
Lilian Dudek
Board Member
Mrs. Lilian Dudek serves as a dedicated Community Liaison and a current Board Member for AYDEPI. With extensive experience as an educator in Thurston County, she brings a deep understanding of youth development and community engagement to the organization. Mrs. Dudek's passion for empowering young leaders and fostering positive change has been a driving force in her contributions to AYDEPI. Her background in education and commitment to mentoring youth have made her an invaluable asset to the team, helping to shape programs that inspire, educate, and uplift the communities AYDEPI serves.
